Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (Hindi: मेरे यार की शादी है, English: It's My Friend's Marriage) is a 2002 Indian Bollywood film directed bySanjay Gadhvi and produced by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The film starred Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill,Bipasha Basu and Tulip Joshi. The film was said to be partly inspired by My Best Friend's Wedding (1997). The director Gadhvi, however, claims that he mainly drew from earlier Hindi films and that My Best Friend's Wedding only provided less than 1% of the inspiration for his film

My Best Friend's Wedding is a 1997 romantic comedy film directed by P. J. Hogan. It stars Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Dermot Mulroney, Rupert Everett, and Philip Bosco.

The film received mostly positive reviews from critics. Commercially, it was one of the top eight highest grossing films worldwide in 1997

The soundtrack song "I Say a Little Prayer (For You)" was covered by singer Diana King and featured heavily in the film, making it aBillboard Top 100 hit. The soundtrack featured a number of Burt Bacharach/Hal David songs.
