The movie was a average grosser at boxoffice due to the negativity caused by Emraan's past failures and his serial kisser image and also because the film was released with Aap Kaa Suroor starring popular singer Himesh Reshammiya and Apne feature real life father and sons Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol together. but Emraan's performance was appreciated by audience and critics.
